About me

I'm Mohamad Kiani
Lecturer and Researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy of Mind

I am currently a Ph.D. researcher in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Isfahan, where my work focuses on image processing, computer vision, deep learning, and large language models. Since 2012, I have worked in various knowledge-based companies as an AI Lead, R&D Manager, and deep learning developer. In 2021, I became the co-founder and CTO of the knowledge-based company Hoopad Vision, and I am now an AI consultant for several organizations and companies, including the Entekhab Industrial Group (Snowa).
Alongside my industrial activities, since 2014 I have been teaching specialized courses in Python, MATLAB, machine learning, deep learning, language models, and computer vision in academic centers and training institutes. Since 2018, I have also taught a range of computer engineering and AI courses — such as deep learning, machine learning, data mining, algorithm design, and more — at the University of Isfahan and Islamic Azad University. I have additionally delivered numerous workshops and talks on both technical and general topics in artificial intelligence and the philosophy of mind.
In recent years, my interest in the philosophy of mind and the relationship between AI, consciousness, and perception has grown significantly. I aim to build an interdisciplinary path that connects technical AI research with philosophical inquiry. Teaching, developing AI models, and researching at the intersection of science and philosophy form the three core pillars of my professional life.
